Hearts Thrift Centre

 In 2017, Teresa Rocque founded Hearts Thrift Centre, a vital community hub dedicated to individuals and families in need. This welcoming space offered essential resources such as food, toiletries, clothing, furniture, and bicycles, while also serving as gathering place for donations and volunteers. Families could access items cost, and those who were unable to pay could benefit from the generosity of others, symbolized by a heart on the wall. The Centre also engaged schools, youth groups, and community organizations, fostering awareness and understanding of the needs of underserved populations. Although Hearts Thrift Centre has transitioned to an online community, we are committed to reopening our doors, as this resource remains critical for many in our community.
