Donations

Donation receipts are issued in accordance with applicable Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) requirements.

Volunteers

Volunteers play an important role in supporting Hearts Centre’s mission. By volunteering with Hearts Centre, you agree to:

  • Follow any applicable policies, guidelines, and instructions provided by Hearts Centre

  • Acknowledge that volunteer roles may involve physical activity or interaction with the public

Hearts Centre reserves the right to decline, suspend, or terminate volunteer participation at its discretion, including where conduct is inconsistent with our mission or policies.

Volunteers participate at their own risk and are responsible for ensuring they are physically and otherwise able to perform volunteer activities safely.

Events and Programs – Assumption of Risk and Waiver

By registering for or participating in any Hearts Centre event, program, or activity (including volunteer-led or community events), you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Participation may involve inherent risks, including personal injury, illness, or property loss

  • You voluntarily assume all such risks associated with participation

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release and hold harmless Hearts Centre, its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents from any claims, liabilities, or damages arising from participation, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Participants are responsible for their own personal property during events and activities.

Communications

By providing your contact information, you consent to receive communications related to Hearts Centre’s charitable activities, subject to applicable laws, including Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). You may unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time.

Third-Party Services and Links
